Debra Ryll was born on the East Coast to a family whose motto was "Westward Ho!" As a child, she moved from Connecticut to Arizona to California... and then she sailed to Hawaii.("Shipwrecked" might be a more accurate term. She arrived aboard a 36' ketch after a harrowing 37-day voyage that was supposed to end in the Marquesas Islands..."but that's a long story best told over a bottle of wine.") 

Since then she's lived and traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, South America and the South Pacific.

She feels fortunate to be raising her family and working in one of the world's most beautiful areas.
